One of London’s most iconic landmarks, the London Eye, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. To pay tribute, a host of well-known London celebrities have put pen to paper and created personalized illustrations of the oversized ferris wheel, with all profits from the sales of the images benefit sick children at the Evelina Children’s Hospital. Supermodel Kate Moss and designer Henry Holland are just two of the celebrities asked to let their creative juices flow.
While Kate went a black-on-white sketch (above left) of the London skyline (complete with labeled landmarks), Henry put together a characteristically colorful illustration (above right) – the bright silhouettes of houses were laid out to form the shape of the wheel. A total of ten celebrities were asked to design one-off prints for the occasion, including Kate’s best buddy, designer/actress Sadie Frost, and Samantha Morton, Jaime Winstone and Dominic West.
The bespoke celebrity prints are available from the official London Eye shop (next to the London Eye) for just £5 each.
