Fashion Week is about to kick off and Alternative Apparel have a little something to get you in the mood. For fun, the apparel brand has created an original video which will play in New York City taxi cabs throughout Fashion Week, from February 11 – 18.
The video – Kinds Of Love – was inspired in part by the famed romance between musician Serge Gainsbourg and actress and fashion icon Jane Birkin (who in turn inspired the legendary Birkin Bag), as well as the allure of 1960s French pop culture. The 30-second spots will highlight the music, art, cinema and icons that made the 60s French pop scene so rich and vibrant, as well as giving you a quick glimpse of Alternative Apparel’s spring/summer styles.
The film was shot in LA’s Laurel Canyon neighborhood, which became known for its counterculture activity and bohemian spirit in the 1960s.
You can watch Kinds Of Love on YouTube and I’ve included some screenshots below. Let me know if you catch a glimpse in New York this week; I’d love to hear your thoughts on the film.
