Looking to score a colorful beach tote and support a worthy cause at the same time? Enter FEED Projects’ brightly-hued carryalls, just in time for summer. Spearheaded by model/designer Lauren Bush, FEED Projects raises money for the United Nations World Food Program, which aims to provide meals to children around the world.
FEED’s latest project – a collection of vibrant totes – is an exclusive collaboration with Lord & Taylor. The totes come in two sizes: a multipurpose pouch (the “FEED 1” bag, priced at $19) and a large beach-ready tote (the “FEED 3” bag, priced at $39). The proceeds from this exclusive collection will help UNICEF provide nutrient-rich powder to Guatemalan children; according to UNICEF, Guatemala has “one of the worst nutritional conditions in the region.”
While proceeds from the FEED bags will go to the children of Guatemala, the production of the bags supported the local economy. Bush partnered with Nest, a non-profit that works with local female artisans, to produce the bag. “We wanted to take it full circle and support the women making the bags, as well as giving back to UNICEF’s work in Guatemala,” said Bush.
The FEED bags are available exclusively at Lord & Taylor stores and online at LordandTaylor.com/feed.
