Liberty Of London has lined up a torrent of collaborations this year and the latest is a partnership with Nicholas Kirkwood, the British shoe designer who, among other things, is known for designing the Rodarte footwear.

This particular collaboration was put together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Liberty’s Carnaby Street store. Nicholas Kirkwood chose two of his prints – the Bounty and the Santa Maria – for the collaboration. The Bounty print – a mix of birds and flowers – will feature on a sandal, while the Santa Maria – a dark Hawaiian-esque floral (pictured) – will feature on his signature platform pumps.

This collaboration isn’t due until May but there is already a lot of buzz for it. Would you be happy for a pair of Liberty printed Kirkwood shoes? I know I would.  This is a fun way to spice up a recognizable shoe and make it the focus of your outfit.

I don’t like Liberty of London’s prints but Nicholas Kirkwood is great at an architectural heel.
