London Fashion Week wrapped up yesterday and the fashion pack jetted off to Milan. Before we start covering the Milan shows, however, it is time to take a look at what went down during the final two days in London, who sat front row, and more. Read on!
If the front row at Burberry is an indicator of what to expect from the show, you can bet that the show will be amazing—after all, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kate Bosworth, Clemence Poesy, Alexa Chung, Mario Testino, Will.i.Am, and Jacquetta Wheeler were all in attendance. As for the show itself, we loved the striped trench coats, the bow belts, the ruffled tweed jackets, and the peplum skirts. Another stellar show, in our opinion.
Once again, the details of the Tom Ford show are laced in mystery—a select few editors received invites to the presentation, and no cameras or photographs were allowed. What we do know, thanks to The Huffington Post, is that the 25-piece collection featured several red carpet-ready dresses, including several that nodded to Ford’s years at Gucci. We are excited.
If ever you are on the hunt for a visual feast, look no further than Mary Katrantzou’s fall collection. The silhouettes are magical, the colors are beyond magical—almost like a fairytale—and the entire collection just reeks of fun.
This season, the McQ collection was shown on a catwalk for the first time ever, and Sarah Burton certainly put on a show. A carpet of fall leaves had been scattered around to set the mood, ready for the series of military-inspired looks that opened the show and the luxe dresses that followed.
