For her Spring 2011 collection, Mara Hoffman was inspired by her own personal style of dressing. The result? A “military gone native” theme that echoed throughout the collection via ethnic patterns, pastel tones, crochet, loose silhouettes, infusions of khaki green, and, of course, Hoffman’s signature vivid prints. The presentation, which was held on September 9, had a similar vibe: models posed next to palm trees at New York’s Pier 59 Studios, live South American music played in the background, and guests were treated to a Mojito bar. The only thing missing? Summery weather, which you’ll be yearning for when you look closer at Mara Hoffman’s cool, wearable collection.
