The Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2014 collection is a combination of self-possessed surfer cool and Victorian elegance, working together to present a chic, bohemian style that truly owes it’s origins to Jacobs’ imagination and the women who inspires it. The collection was rife, with strong motifs including chic bohemian influenced decoration and details borrowed back from his own archives. The color palette is moody and easy-inspired by friends who do not feel the pressure to wear white just because it’s spring.
“This season for me, is about self-expression. The things I love aren’t architectural, they’re decorative. They invoke different periods and different times. They are a celebration of what we’ve lived and imagine-individuality and style.”
