Some never-before-seen photographs of Marilyn Monroe have been unveiled, showing the pop-culture icon around nine months before her death. The photographs were taken by photographer Len Steckler and show Monroe lounging in Steckler’s apartment with poet Carl Sandburg.
Monroe is known as a symbol of glamour and has always been revered for her curvy shape. In these new photographs, she is wearing a short-sleeved dress and a pair of thick-rimmed cat-eye sunglasses, proving once again why she is the eternal fashion icon.
It’s always fun to get a new reminder of the first fashion icons. Maybe I’m alone here but I can almost see a little of Lady Gaga in these photos. Do you see it?
