Mary Katrantzou For Topshop

February 15, 2010

Mary Katrantzou is the latest designer to collaborate with Topshop and her four-piece jersey collection is set to launch later this week. The collection features Mary’s distinctive bold and graphic prints in bold shades of red, blue, green and yellow.

The mini-collection features a bodysuit, a body-con dress and two tees, all in a super-comfortable white jersey fabric. Each style is adorned with a jewelry-print around the necklace. The prints were inspired by Mary’s graduate show for Central St Martins and her subsequent collections; in particular, Mary’s Fall 2008 show featured trompe l’oeil digital prints of oversized necklaces.

Of the collection, Mary said: “I’m thrilled to be able to work with Topshop on this collection, making my prints accessible to a wider audience.”

I quite like the subtle decorations of these tees – they are a great way to add some detail and color to a simple outfit, without going overboard. What do you think of this collection?

I love the designs on these dresses. The collection looks like it would be so much fun to wear.
