Inspired by Belvedere’s new pink grapefruit flavor and the “vitality of sultry high summer evenings,” Williamson created a high-cut kaftan made from a sheer pink fabric, with hints of purple and lime and a thick black trim.
The kaftan will go on sale – at $1,540 – at Matthew Williamson boutiques in New York and London on May 13. To celebrate (both the vodka and the kaftan!), Belvedere plans to open a pop-up store in New York from May 12 to 16. DJ Leigh Lezark of The Misshapes, seen at left modeling the kaftan, will host the launch party at the pop-up store. For some reason, we don’t see this kaftan being limited to the beachside.
