Last year, Italian knitwear brand Missoni collaborated with Converse on a sought-after collection of sneakers that blended Converse’s classic Chuck Taylor high-top silhouette with Missoni’s iconic zig-zag prints and rainbow colors. For Fall 2010, the two brands are doing it all again and today we have a first look at the new collection.
Once again, the Premium Chuck Hi is adorned with Missoni’s geometric print – this time, in a classic black and white. The traditional Converse circle patch, inner lining and tongue are all rendered in brown leather, while the “license plate logo” at the heel is done in monochrome. The shoe is finished with a white vulcanized sole and black shoe laces.
While an official release date is not yet set, we expect the collection to debut around November. Prices are likely to be similar to the Spring 2010 collection, which retailed for $200. The Missoni x Converse collection will be available at the Missoni boutiques in New York City and Los Angeles, as well as select Missoni boutiques internationally and Jeffrey boutiques in New York City and Atlanta.
