Model Style: Lily Aldridge

Californian model Lily Aldridge has more than just a drop dead gorgeous face and an enviable body. She also has a covetable closet and a cool and laidback sense of personal style, which is why Lily is the perfect pick for our latest installment of Model Style! Yes, dear readers, whether she is rocking the runway for Victoria’s Secret, taking in her favorite bands at Coachella, or attending a red carpet event on the arm of soon-to-be husband Caleb Followill, she always looks amazing. On that note, if you love Lily’s style as much as we do, read on!

1. An all-black ensemble is practically the uniform for off-duty models, but it is anything but boring. For the Tribeca Film Festival after-party in April, Lily wore a fitted black mini dress, an oversized blazer, and fringed ankle boots. The look is part glamour girl, part rock and roll, which is perfect for Lily, who is about to marry Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill! If you find yourself drawn to this look, pick up David Lerner’s Wrap Bandage Dress ($198) and ASOS’s Tailored Cropped Boyfriend Blazer ($89.65). Throw on a pair of Jeffrey Campbell’s Fringe Lace Up Suede Booties ($89) and then finish by slinging J Crew’s Edie Purse ($238) over your shoulder.

2. Lily could wear just about anything and make it look good, so it is no surprise to see her step out in another winning dress for the premiere of Talihina Ski at the Tribeca Film Festival. Her slinky rust-red confection has a 1970s-glam vibe, made all the more palpable with the addition of a thin gold belt and gold sandals. The result? An outfit that is perfect for a summer cocktail party, a red carpet event, or a night out with the girls. To try this look, grab Ever’s Whitmore Wrap Dress ($227.50) or Bruce II’s Silk Wrap Dress ($449). Then, simply add Prada’s Platform T-Strap Sandals ($752) and Urban Outfitters’ Skinny Leather Belt ($15).

3. Even when you are feeling low-key, it is easy to put together an outfit with a stylish twist—just look to Lily for inspiration! Back in 2009, Lily was spotted out and about in West Hollywood wearing black skinny jeans, a simple tank, and a leather jacket. The ensemble is minimal, yes, but with the addition of a few chic accessories—specifically, leopard-print sandals and a quilted Chanel bag—Lily has elevated her outfit from plain to simple to stylish. Ready to try this look? Pick up Madewell’s Twin Pocket Tank ($38) and pair it with AG Adriano Goldschmied’s Jegging Knit Skinny Jeans ($89) and All Saints’s Caledonian Jacket ($549). Finish with a pair of Cynthia Vincent’s Gladiator Sandals ($225).

4. One of the things we love most about Lily is her understated aesthetic—even when she is wearing a slew of designer pieces, she emits an unfussy vibe. Back in March, Lily was spotted out and about in yet another effortlessly stylish outfit. We particularly like the way Lily has picked three neutral colors—black, white and beige—and neatly worked them together to create a casual yet chic ensemble. To assemble an equally unassuming look, grab Vince’s Cowl Neck Leather Jacket ($594) or Elie Tahari’s Selena Open Front Suede Jacket ($390) and pair it with your favorite black skinny jeans and white tee. Complete the look with Rag & Bone’s Harrow Leather Ankle Boots ($450).
