It is a known fact within the fashion world that the more exclusive an item is, the more in-demand it becomes. Thanks to this air of exclusivity, over the last few weeks, a single pair of sunglasses – the Lyndel Beaded Edition by Mosley Tribes – has become the must-have shades for summer. Hand beaded by jeweler Jenny Dayco, the Lyndel is preparing for an extremely limited-edition run (less than ten are being made) at Oliver Peoples, with a price – $695 – worthy of its exclusivity.
For fans of Mosley Tribes not willing to fight it out, the Summer/Fall 2010 Lookbook reveals a series of sunglasses that possess a similarly summer-ready vibe. This season, the Mosley Tribes crew traveled to Santa Fe, New Mexico to shoot the lookbook, which takes inspiration from Native American culture. The team wanted to take the opportunity to “connect with the land and the people” and was influenced by the natural pigments of the region; on that note, the color selection of laminates, lenses and textures used in the collection are a direct reflection of the local Native American culture.
Several pieces from the Summer/Fall 2010 Lookbook are available now at MosleyTribes.com.
