This year, celebrated Italian fashion house Gucci is celebrating its 90th anniversary. How, you ask? To start, the brand is releasing a must-read book, Gucci: The Making Of, which was edited by Gucci creative director Frida Giannini and features contributions by Katie Grand, Rula Jebreal, and Stefano Micelli, among others.
As for what you will find inside Gucci: The Making Of, the book features essays, commentaries, and anecdotes, as well as previously unpublished photographs from the archives. Using “words, concepts, shapes, and moods” to tell the story, you will learn about Gucci’s long and storied history, from its beginnings in Florence to the legendary house that it is today.
You can pre-order Gucci: The Making Of now from Amazon.com ahead of its release on November 1. Note: in recognition of its ongoing partnership with UNICEF and to celebrate the book, Gucci is making a donation of $250,000 to support UNICEF’s Schools for Africa initiative. And as if this isn’t enough to entice you, did we mention that the book is bound in a book that uses Gucci’s signature saddle-inspired logo?
