When it comes to fashion, Daphne Guinness is bold, brave and knows no boundaries. For that reason, she was the perfect muse for François Nars’ Fall 2010 collection, a line of sultry cosmetics meant to embody an “Old Hollywood meets futuristic” spirit. “She is very creative, elegant and so high society. So very decadent with a British background,” Nars said of his choice. “She is the NARS woman.” In fact, so inspired was Nars, he asked Guinness to appear in the Fall 2010 campaign (above) and, subsequently, named a vivid violet eye shadow after her. Fall 2010 Eye Shadows are available in three colors: Daphne is a matte, deep violet; Mangrove is a limited edition tropical mellow yellow laced with lime; and, Coconut Grove is a dark, chocolate/taupe confection.

Fall 2010 Eye Shadow Duos are available in two combinations: Tzarine is a platinum gold and steel grey duo; and, Rajasthan is a glazed almond and charcoal duo.

Also included: Douceur Blush, a soft pink-brown hue; Rouge Basque Lipstick, a bold red-wine satin tint; Strawberry Fields Lip Gloss, a strawberry-pink gloss; and, Palladium Soft Touch Shadow Pencil, a sparkling turquoise shadow pencil.

The NARS Fall 2010 collection is available now at NarsCosmetics.com and Sephora.com. Prices range from $23 for an eye shadow to $32 for an eye shadow duo.
