New York Fashion Week, Spring 2011: Day 2

The second day of New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 was an exciting mix of shows—including BCBG Max Azria (far left), Jason Wu (second from left), Nicholas K (far right), Ports 1961 (middle), and Rag & Bone (second from right)—and anticipation for Fashion’s Night Out. On Day 2, color was discretionary: BCBG Max Azria started with an almost all-white palette, which rotated through a series of solid colors before landing on black, while Jason Wu inserted strong pops of color here and there. (“It was supposed to be confident. I feel very confident as a designer now. I’ve grown up,” Wu told NY Magazine.) For further details, read on!
