• The British Fashion Council has announced a new addition to honor the 25th anniversary of the British Fashion Awards – a one-off called the “London 25″. The award will recognize an individual who “embodies the spirit of London and is an international ambassador for the capital’s fashion industry.” The public will be voting to determine the winner and the list of suggested nominees includes Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Vivienne Westwood, you get the drift. • The latest celebrity to venture into the design world is Alicia Keys. Alicia has paired up with jewelry designer Gisèle Theriault to launch The Barber’s Daughters Jewelry, a collection of silver jewelry with inscriptions of the poetry and prayers of Dr Masaru Emoto (the auther of “Hidden Messages in Water”). The collection will launch on November 23rd at a pop-up store located at 26 Clinton Street, NYC. [WWD]
• Tom Ford has revealed that he doesn’t remember much about his time at Yves Saint Laurent and that it was a negative experience for him. Ford told The Advocate that “Yves and his partner, Pierre Bergé, were so difficult and so evil.” [The Advocate]
