• Kelly Cutrone, the PR guru who may be best known for her roles on MTV’s The Hills and The city, will release her first book just a day after Bravo debut her new reality show. The book, entitled “If You Have To Cry, Go Outside.. And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You,” will be released on February 2 and will cover everything from how she got her start, being a single mom and dealing with sexism. Her reality show, “Kell On Earth,” will make its debut on February 1. [WWD]
• Anya Hindmarch has teamed up with English label Barbour to design four jackets for fall. The collection will be sold at Hindmarch’s own stores as well as selected retailers worldwide. Prices will start at £249. [WWD]
• Jane Aldridge (of Sea of Shoes) has topped off a whirlwind year by signing a book deal. Aldridge and her mother (a former model and designer) signed the book deal in the last few months, according to Teen Vogue, though no word yet on what it is about. [Teen Vogue]
• Lily Cole may be ready to give up modeling for acting. “I’d like to act and not really model so much. I wouldn’t want to treat acting as a convenient thing to do now and again. I’ve been modeling for years and I feel like I’ve taken out of it what I need to and I’m ready for new things,” Cole said. [The Daily Mail]
• The February cover of Vanity Fair magazine will feature a portrait of Tiger Woods, posing semi-nude for Annie Leibovitz (and taken in January 2006). The issue will muse over Woods’ fall from grace and his future. [WWD]
• Eunice W. Johnson, who gave Ebony magazine its name and produced the Ebony Fashion Fair for almost 50 years, died on Sunday January 3 at the age of 93. [The Chicago Tribune]
• Germany’s most popular women’s magazine, Brigitte, has banned professional models from appearing within its pages, instead preferring to use “normal women as models.” [The Independent]
