Despite keeping busy with a limited-edition capsule collection for the Keith Haring Foundation, British footwear designer Nicholas Kirkwood is still hard at work creating futuristic looks for his eponymous line of shoes. His newly-released Spring/Summer 2010 collection is teeming with ultramodern footwear in neon-bright colors, abstract prints, metallic hues and flashes of python skin.
With an abundance of collaborations under his belt – think Rodarte, Erdem and Liberty Of London, to start – Kirkwood would be forgiven if he lacked in inspiration for his own collection. Not so. Spring 2010 is as vampy, fierce and fabulous as one would hope, with a little something for everyone (including flats, for only the second time since launching his eponymous collection six years ago).
