P.S. I Made This: The Book

Imagine if every time you spotted an Alexander Wang skirt, a Prada turban, a Chanel cuff, or an Hermes bag that you just had to have, you could clear a space on your table, pull out your hefty DIY craft kit, and make it yourself. Welcome to the life of Erica Domesek, founder of inventive DIY brand P.S. I Made This‚Ķ and website/blog Erica has been crafting and creating since she was young, but it was until last year, when she started sharing DIY projects on her website, that her brand and lifestyle really soared. Fast forward to today, Erica’s projects have been featured in publications such as Glamour and Teen Vogue, she has styled campaigns and window displays for brands such as Anthropologie and Madewell, and she has a brand new book, which we were lucky enough to receive a copy of.

P.S. I Made This: The Book

P.S. I Made This features more than 25 projects inspired by iconic fashion looks, current runway trends, and celebrated style icons, such as a bright ball necklace (pictured), military earrings, a bow belt, a fringe scarf, a hippie headband, knee-high boots, a faux fur vest, and plenty of other on-trend items. It has a go-to list of all the arts and craft essentials you’ll need to start out. It has a crucial list of all the best shops and stores for your DIY needs. But, most importantly, it has basic step-by-step instructions for every project.

As DIY amateurs, we were super impressed with the easiness of each project. Erica starts each venture with an introduction and an inspiration board, which is just a fun read, whether you end up starting the project or not. Then, you’ll find a list of “ingredients” and a set of instructions. As you can see from the pictures, each step has an accompanying photograph and very basic instructions. Not only will you be able to follow each step, you can look ahead and see what’s coming next, which can be crucial!

Our verdict? If you’re a DIY pro, an amateur, or even if you’re just starting out and have yet to put together a project, the P.S. I Made This book is essential.
