The rumors are true! Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr, who is six and a half months pregnant with her first child, is on the January cover of Australian Vogue, making her the first pregnant model to grace the cover of the magazine. “It was an honor to shoot the first ever pregnancy cover for Australian Vogue,” Kerr told the Sunday Herald Sun. On the cover, Kerr, who was photographed by Carlotta Moye, wears a flowing black dress. In the accompanying story, Kerr wears a collection of designer dresses, including a sheer, white Alex Perry dress that clearly shows her burgeoning bump.
So, it seems Kerr is keeping busy in the last few months of her pregnancy. Aside from Australian Vogue, Kerr posed nude and pregnant for W magazine’s December issue. In addition, the Australian edition of 60 Minutes ran a profile of Kerr on Sunday night, where Kerr’s mother, Therese Kerr, confessed that she deliberately tried to sabotage Kerr’s career in the early years due to her “pre-conceived ideas of the industry.”
The January issue of Australian Vogue is due out on December 1. A transcript of the 60 Minutes profile is available here.
