The fashion blogging world was abuzz yesterday with the release of Proenza Schouler’s pre-fall accessories collection. This isn’t the first time Proenza Schouler’s accessories have caused such chaos – the brand’s PS1 bag has become one of the most sought-after designer accessories currently on the market – and, if this collection is anything to go by, it won’t be the last.
For the Pre-Fall 2010 collection, designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez channeled the textures and colors from their ready-to-wear collection into their shoes. Ankle booties, slingback heels and chunky wedge boots are embellished with faux fur panels, python skin, oversized buckles and sections of heavy glitter, all in a palette of midnight blue, forest green and black.
While the footwear is sure to draw a crowd, Proenza Schouler didn’t limit their talent to just shoes; fans were also privy to woven grey and black PS1 clutch, leather totes in mocha or black, and necklaces and bracelets reminiscent of antique fob chains.
