Although designer collaborations are practically the norm these days, not many brands launch two in one day. Not so for Alternative Apparel, the lifestyle brand that will tomorrow launch two highly-anticipated collaborations – with Richard Chai and Jeremy Scott, no less – exclusively at Refinery29 Shops.
These limited-edition pieces were first seen on the Fall 2010 runways, with both Chai and Scott inspired by Alternative Apparel’s fashion-forward styles and comfort appeal. Both designers created a series of signature looks that utilized Alternative Apparel’s high-quality fabrics.
For Chai, that meant working with Alternative Apparel’s luxurious linen jersey and modal silk fabrics to create several reworked t-shirts with a cool, laidback edge. Similarly, Scott used Alternative Apparel’s super soft, refined micro-modal spandex fabric to create three sexy-yet-sophisticated “little black dresses,” each with a contemporary twist, such as a hood or raised neckline.
Both the Jeremy Scott and Richard Chai for Alternative Apparel collections will be sold exclusively on Refinery29 Shops, from April 20 through May 20. Prices will range from $69 to $129.
