We are devoting today’s Seasonal Style story to Zoe Saldana and exploring exactly how her personal style changes from season to season and how she puts together new and exciting outfits.

Seasonal Style: Zoe Saldana

She may be best known for her roles in such films as Avatar and Colombiana, but to us here at Mama’s A Rolling Stone, we know Zoe Saldana best for her sense of personal style. After all, whether she is strutting her stuff on the red carpet or spotted out and about in Los Angeles, you can be sure that Zoe will always look perfectly put together. For that reason, we are devoting today’s Seasonal Style story to Zoe and exploring exactly how her personal style changes from season to season and how she puts together new and exciting outfits. So, read on for all the need-to-know details and make sure you take notes as there is plenty of inspiration inside!

Winter
One of the things we like most about Zoe’s style is that she always gives her outfits a personal twist. For proof, just look at the ensemble Zoe put together for a film screening at the Sundance Festival in January. Instead of opting for a basic leather jacket, Zoe chose a jersey Roland Mouret jacket with leather sleeves, which she paired with jeans and black riding boots. By choosing a jacket with an interesting twist, Zoe created a fresh and fashion-forward ensemble that is perfect for the girl-on-the-go. To try Zoe’s winter look for yourself, pick up a jacket like Elizabeth & James’ Kurt Jacket ($585) or Rebecca Minkoff’s Linda Jacket ($498). Then, slip into an easy tee and jeans, before completing the look with Aigle’s Ecuyer Boots ($189).

Spring
Zoe is never afraid to play with prints, which is perfect when spring rolls around! For proof, just look at the outfit she put together for a charity event in Santa Monica back in April. The ensemble is perfect for two reasons. Firstly, it shows that Zoe is able to mix and match prints—her southwest-print Isabel Marant dress and python-print clutch—with aplomb! Additionally, it shows that she knows how to create a great color story—the wine-red clutch brings out the hint of red in her dress! To make Zoe’s spring look your own, pick up a dress like Zimmermann’s Halcyon Dress ($550) or Costa Blanca’s Aztec Dress ($57) and pair it with Vince Camuto’s Jasper Pumps ($118.95) and Zara’s Snakeskin Clutch ($99.90).

Summer
In August, Zoe was spotted out and about in Beverly Hills wearing a casually-chic ensemble: a strapless printed maxi dress and brown sandals. Like most people, Zoe has opted for an easy, breezy aesthetic for summer. For instance, instead of a structured dress, Zoe chose a relaxed, flowy silhouette. Likewise, she has opted for a simple wedge and an almost-bare makeup look. The result is an outfit that is decidedly chic, but also uncomplicated enough for a day out and about under the summer sun. To try Zoe’s summer look for yourself, pick up a dress like Parker’s Strapless Long Dress ($143) or American Rag’s Floral Chiffon Dress ($39.99). Then, slip into a pair of Elie Tahari’s Raven Sandals ($298) and you are all set.

Fall
For fall, Zoe has once again made a few tweaks, all the while staying true to her cool, Californian aesthetic. Take a look at the outfit—a printed blouse, a lightweight scarf, and wide-leg jeans—she wore while out in Beverly Hills earlier this month. The ensemble is great for fall as each piece protects Zoe from the elements, but they are also lightweight enough for the odd burst of sun. Plus, we love that she has opted for a part preppy, part boho-chic look—it is spot-on for fall. To make Zoe’s fall look your own, pick up Free People’s Boho Top ($108) and pair it with J Brand’s Bette Jeans ($219). Then, simply add accessories like Amicale’s Crinkled Scarf ($36.90) and Pieces’ Dertan Satchel ($68.29)
