It is no big secret that for many of us, the days are getting crisper and the nights are getting chillier, which means it is definitely time to start thinking about your winter wardrobe. With that in mind, our latest edition of Steal Her Style is teeming with inspiration to get you in the mood—with help from Olivia Palermo, Kate Moss, and Alexa Chung. Read on!
Olivia definitely has a knack for putting together effortlessly chic outfits and her latest is no exception. Although her army jacket has a utilitarian feel, the turtleneck sweater and belt give the overall look a sophisticated twist. To steal Olivia’s style, layer Jet by John Eshaya’s Safari Jacket ($253) over Velvet by Graham & Spencer’s Oceana Chunky Melange Turtleneck Sweater ($180) and then belt both at the waist. Then, simply add Siwy’s Ladonna Skinny Jeans ($184) and LOFT’s Kasidy Motorcycle Boots ($128) and you are all set.
If there is one thing about Kate that we know, it is that she can still surprise us. We love the way she added a golden-yellow clutch to an outfit that is otherwise “typical Kate”—a leopard-print jacket, black skinny jeans, and ankle boots. It is this ability to still surprise us that makes Kate, well, Kate. To steal Kate’s style, pair Free People’s Leopard Swing Coat ($248) with a black top, J Brand’s Danica Jeans ($220), and DKNY’s Valene Boots ($179). Then, simply add ASOS’s Leather Croc Bar Purse ($26).
Leave it to Alexa to pull off the color of the season—oxblood red—with such aplomb. Better yet, leave it to Alexa to show us how chic a skinny turtleneck sweater can be. This outfit has such a cool, 1970s-inspired vibe that we want to wear it right now and all through fall/winter. To steal Alexa’s style, pair Banana Republic’s Essential Turtleneck in Red Delicious ($60) with McQ Alexander McQueen’s Leather Mini Skirt ($925). Then, accessorize with RAS’s Ballet Flats ($227) and you are good to go.
