Take one look at these girls and you will see: these girls are setting their own trends and making their own way in the world of fashion.

As we sat down to map out our picks for this month’s edition of Street Chic, we realized for the first time why Street Chic has quickly become one of our favorite monthly stories. Take one look at these girls and you will see: these girls are setting their own trends and making their own way in the world of fashion.

Perhaps that is the reason why street style blogs have become so hugely popular in recent years. While high-street stores are busy mass-producing pieces inspired by celebrities and the runway shows, regular people are busy getting their inspiration from other regular people. Why? Because it is attainable fashion – if she’s doing it, so can I! Consequently, this month’s edition of Street Chic is filled with girls that are suitably stylish and inspiring, from tie-dyed skirts in Australia to fur coats in Copenhagen.

With that, we present to you our six Street Chic picks, which we had a lot of fun putting together. We hope you are similarly inspired.

CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT:

#1. First stop, Paris, a city known for its ultra-chic citizens. This girl has thrown together a look that is the perfect combination of touch, rocker chic and flirty, feminine style. You can recreate this look by picking up this Grey Floral Cotton Fitted Henley Top ($68.85) by Elizabeth & James and adding GoldSign’s Lure Skinny Jeans ($216). Throw this Fringed Knit Scarf ($28) by Jessica Simpson around your neck for a casual look. Finish off your outfit by adding Topshop’s Alfie Laced Workboot ($145) which will increase your rock & roll appeal.

#2. One of our favorite fall/winter trends is the faux fur coat and, though we can’t say for sure that it is faux, we are loving this girls fashion-forward style. She has deftly combined her shaggy coat with paneled-leather leggings and slip-on boots, adding a tough edge to her look. Make this look your own by pairing this Shaggy Faux Fur Jacket ($152.97) by Oasis with a pair of Alice + Olivia’s Leather Combo Leggings ($330). A pair of F-Troupe’s Zip Back Sheepskin Biker Boots ($325) will add a sturdy element to your look. Finish it off with Kashmere’s Blue Tribal Cashmere-Silk Scarf ($81.59).

#3. Our eyes were instantly drawn to this fresh Australian beauty basking in the Sydney sunshine. We love her gauzy, tie-dyed skirt combined with knee-high socks and slouchy suede boots. The overall effect is part Sienna Miller, part 70s hippie and is the perfect outfit for the beachy summer season. Steal her style by pairing Charley 5.0’s Denim Poof Skirt ($111) in tie dye with Topshop’s Bow Knee High Socks ($10). Add a pair of these Slouch Suede Boots ($128) from Free People and throw Mango’s Fringe Slouch Clip Front Bag ($100.28) over your shoulder.

#4. As with all our editions of Street Chic, we love a girl after our own heart and a classic, eternally-chic outfit is the easy way in. Grab this look by wearing Silence & Noise’s Black Long Party Blazer ($78) with Bebe’s Cascading Ruffles Mini ($29.99, reduced from $59). Throw on a pair of XOXO’s Miranda Ankle Booties ($79.95, reduced from $99.95) and then add this Quilted Handbag ($55) by Streets.

#5. For the last two years, the boyfriend jean has surpassed the skinny jean as the go-to denim for the stylish set. This girl has perfected the look, pairing hers with a cropped blazer and Oxford shoes. Ready to try this look out? Start with these FP Boyfriend Jeans ($68) from Free People for the perfect relaxed fit. Add Juicy Couture’s Cropped Tuxedo Blazer ($198) over a set of soft, layered tees. The look isn’t complete without a pair of Free People’s Corps Oxford ($128) shoes.

#6. For a few years now, studded shoes have been making their rounds on the streets and this girl shows us how to work the look, pairing it with an oversized trench and a cowl knit scarf. Try a similar style by layering Gallery’s Satin Twill All Weather Trench Coat ($98.90, reduced from $148) with this Chunky Knit Cowl ($12). Finish it off with a pair of DV Dolce Vita’s Brylee Studded Ankle Boots ($129) and you’re good to go.
