When we sat down to plot out our picks for this month’s edition of Street Chic, we suddenly became excited. After all, although it is supremely cold outside, spring is on the horizon here in the northern hemisphere.

Another reason to get excited? Our Street Chic story always brings out the best in our readers because we’re showcasing real women with achievable styles. Whether you’re looking for some spring inspiration, or you need an exotic look for summer, we’re ready to get you enthused. With that, we present to you our six Street Chic picks.

TOP TO BOTTOM, LEFT TO RIGHT

#1. For those who are still experiencing snowy weather, this one is for you. This girl has thrown on a wool cape coat for an on-trend look that is simple and comfortable. You can recreate this look by picking up this Lafayette Cape ($153.30) by Dunderdon and adding this Cotton Rib Henley Sweater ($15) from Victoria’s Secret. Finish off your outfit by adding Pour La Victoire’s Dorcas Knee High Riding Boot ($293.96).

#2. One trend that is not going away this year is the legging and this girl works the look effortlessly, combining her pair with chic ballet flats and a cropped biker jacket. Make this look your own by mixing this Leather Crop Jacket ($179) from Victoria’s Secret with a pair of Corso Como’s Franco Ballet Flats ($76.42). Add AGB’s Exposed Zipper Leggings ($15.40) and then polish it off with Forever21’s Cable Knit Scarf ($10.80).

#3. We couldn’t help but notice this girl, especially with the fresh pop of color that she brings to the world with her plaid shirt. The overall effect is part vintage, part 90s grunge and we love it all. Steal her style by grabbing Wet Seal’s Plaid Flannel Shirt ($17.50) and throwing on a pair of Kate Black Wet Look Leggings ($18.70) from Asos. Add these Monet Studded Ankle Boots ($49.95) by Miss Me and finish it off with this Faux Leather Bomber Jacket ($31.99) by Say What.

#4. As we mentioned, some sun-envy is upon us – this girl will definitely inspire our summer wardrobe this year. Grab this look by wearing Rory Beca’s Bubble Gum Mini Skirt ($213) with a simple white tank. Throw on a pair of Steve Madden’s Lenorah Strappy Hi Heel Wood Bottom Platform Sandals ($54.97) and then add this Straw Fedora ($38) from Nordstrom.

#5. Recently the army jacket has been making its way to the forefront of winter fashion and this girl has perfected the military-meets-fashion look. Ready to try it out? Start with Topshop’s Cotton Wash Parka ($125) and balance it with this Leopard Print Scarf ($34.50) from Ann Taylor Loft. The look isn’t complete without a pair of Anglo Leather Ski Hook Boots ($110.48) from Asos.

#6. Finally, Street Chic wouldn’t be complete without a boho-esque look that is super comfortable and this girl shows us how it’s done. Try a similar style by layering Free People’s Praga Patch Skirt ($198) with this Thermal Cardigan ($77) by Splendid. Finish it off with a cute little pooch and you’re good to go.
