Our spring style coverage is devoted to providing you with all the inspiration you need for the season and, accordingly, it runs the gamut from runway trends to celebrity style. Of course, our coverage wouldn’t be complete without a look at what girls across the world – from London to Los Angeles – are wearing, which is why we are so excited for our latest installment of Street Chic. Whether you are looking for trend tips, or you want to revamp your style entirely, we have a bounty of inspiration at hand. So read on and make sure you take notes!
1. We love an outfit that, with a few adjustments, can be worn all year round, which is why we love this outfit by Laura, who lives in Amsterdam. Her ensemble – tailored shorts, a polished blouse, a cardigan, thick wool tights, and leather Oxfords – is perfect for those final days of winter, but it will work just as well in spring if you remove the tights and cardigan! On that note, you can compose an equally cute ensemble by layering J Crew’s Open Cardigan ($198) over Topshop’s Peter Pan Sleeveless Blouse ($60). Then, simply add ASOS’s Belted Roll Hem Shorts ($53.79) and finish with Free People’s Garcon Oxfords ($118). To check out more of Laura’s personal style, head to The World Looks Red.
2. If you have been looking for a way to try one of spring’s biggest trends – the bohemian-luxe looks of the 1970s – make sure you look to Nicole, from Los Angeles, for inspiration. Her ensemble – an ethnic maxi dress, a draped cardigan, and leather sandals – is perfect for spring. Not only is it colorful and on-trend, but it is decidedly versatile – you could wear it at the beach, to a dinner party, or anywhere in between. To put together a similarly stylish ensemble, grab Mara Hoffman’s Belted Tank Long Dress ($392) or Forever 21’s Pattern Mix Maxi Dress ($24.80). Finish with your favorite cardigan and a pair of J Crew’s Deseree Leather Gladiator Sandals ($118). To check out more of Nicole’s personal style, head to Frankie Hearts Fashion.
3. There is something about wearing black from head-to-toe that instantly calls to mind the rocker chic ensembles of fashion insiders such as Emmanuelle Alt, which is why this outfit from Mulika, who lives in London, instantly caught our eye. We love the way she has taken two simple black pieces – a maxi dress layered under a slouchy sweater – and styled them in a way that feels totally fresh. The result is simple yet smart. To craft an equally chic ensemble, pair Splendid’s Supima Slub Maxi Dress ($98) or Free People’s Complete Pleats Maxi Dress ($328) with 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Basket Weave Cropped Sweater ($350). Then, simply add Carvela’s Sisley Platform Ankle Boots ($154.20). To check out more of Mulika’s personal style, head to My Capacious Bottega.
