Street Chic

For fashion fans, there are plenty of places to find outfit inspiration—from the runways to the red carpet—but if you are on the hunt for real, attainable, accessible style, one particular source of inspiration instantly comes to mind: style blogs. On that note, we are pleased to present our latest Street Chic story! Today’s edition is jam-packed with fresh outfit inspiration for real girls, thanks to three stylish bloggers. So, whether you are looking for ideas on how to transition from summer to fall, how to incorporate color in exciting ways, or how to perfect your layering skills, read on!

Alexandra
Making the transition from summer to fall can be tricky, especially when you still want to wear some of your warm weather favorites. We love the way Alexander, who lives in Vigo, Spain, has paired a pleated mini skirt with a studded leather jacket. The result is a look cool enough for summer, but cozy enough for fall. In addition, we like her preppy-meets-rocker vibe. This look is perfect for the girl-on-the-go as it easily transitions from a shopping date to a dinner date. Inspired? Make this look your own by pairing Mackage’s Motorcycle Jacket ($750) and ASOS’s Embroidered Blouse ($18.30) with BCBGeneration’s Pleated Skirt ($60.75). You can complete the look by adding Fiel’s Montserrat Sandals ($74.25) or a pair of booties like Nine West’s Thelineup Boots ($54.42 on). Beth
It is no secret that brightly-colored pants were a major theme on the fall runways, which is just one of the reasons we love the outfit that Beth, who lives in Orange County, California, recently put together. The other reasons? The bright pop of color feels really fresh, especially for fall. Plus, we love Beth’s python-print loafers, another major fall trend. Finally, we like the way Beth has paired these key pieces with a tailored blazer. The resulting outfit is the perfect mix of sass and sophistication. To make this look your own, start by picking up J Crew’s Lolli Wool Pants ($120) and pairing them with Reiss’s Chrisie Jacket ($360) and a printed tee. Complete your look with a pair of heels like Gucci’s Huston Python Platform Pumps ($1,100) or Chinese Laundry’s Kasha Pumps ($69.95). To check out more of Beth’s personal style, head to B. Aimee
Layering is a key component of fall fashion, which is why this ensemble, by Aimee, who lives in Los Angeles, instantly caught our eye. We like the way she has layered a cozy knit cardigan over a button-down shirt—so chic! The addition of torn denim shorts toughens the look a little, without taking away from the vibe. When the weather gets colder, a pair of wide-leg jeans make for a suitable alternative. If you are ready to craft a similarly cool look, pick up J Crew’s Perfect-Fit Mixed-Tape Cardigan ($49.50) and pair it with Rag & Bone JEAN’s Hampton Shirt ($124). Then, simply grab Blank Denim’s Classique Shorts ($35.50) or J Brand’s Lovestory Flare Jeans ($200), slip into a pair of Pelle Moda’s Issa Pumps ($54.99), and you are ready to go!
