Who is wearing summer-ready whites?
Back in March, Brooklyn Decker wore a white Giambattista Valli shift dress for a photo call for Battleship, her new film, in Madrid Spain. A few weeks later, Camilla Belle wore a white paillette-embellished dress and white jacket to an event at the Coachella Music Festival in Thermal. Later that month, Karolina Kurkova donned a crisp white pant suit for a launch party in New York City, while most recently, Jessica Alba slipped into a pair of tailored white trousers for a day out in New York City.
How are they styling their looks?
As you can see, summer whites can be worn on a number of occasions and in a number of ways. For instance, both Brooklyn and Karolina donned white pieces for more formal events, but styled their respective looks differently. Brooklyn chose a dress with a silver hem and then paired it with python-print sandals. By doing so, Brooklyn created an effortlessly chic look that would look right at home at an industry party or night out with the girls. Karolina, on the other hand, paired her sophisticated pant suit with black sandals. This offered contrast, naturally, but it also allowed her white suit to have a moment in the spotlight and turn plenty of heads. Now, Jessica and Camilla both wore summer whites for more casual events. Jessica’s tailored trousers have a smart feel about them, but her scarf and Tory Burch fedora give the overall ensemble a casual feel. As for Camilla, her flat sandals add a girly touch to the outfit, but also ensured that her outfit would err on the casual side. Whichever direction you head in, we suggest you follow suit and opt for soft colors (a la Jessica) or stark contrast (a la Karolina). Both options allow your summer whites to come to life.
