Chanel may have come up with the most unique catwalk idea yet at Paris Fashion Week as they transformed the catwalk into a lavishly stocked Chanel hypermarket. Proving that you can indeed do your shopping in style, we saw models including Cara Delevinge, Kendall Jenner and Stella Tennant complete with shopping trolleys and shopping baskets, gracing the aisles and perusing the goods in head to toe stand out looks.
The looks included slim-fit track pants teamed with trainers, some of which were knee-high, crop tops and over-sized boucle coats, metallic slim pants, lurex leggings and tweed suits in a contrasting palette of hues from pastel to loud to neutral. Accessories comprised padlock necklaces, multi-strand pearls and the models wore their hair in full ponytails streaming with tweed rags.
Shopaholic members of an a-list studded audience, including Rhianna and Keira Knightley, were also allowed to sample the luxurious hypermarket, which saw them push around trolleys whilst taking selfies. All the food left on display was promised for distribution to the homeless of Paris.
A collection, I think you’ll agree, that certainly made grocery shopping more interesting.
