Yesterday, the debut issue of Style.com/Print arrived in the mail, oversized, bordered in cherry red, and with the China doll face of Lindsey Wixson staring out from the cover.
Our first question, here at Mama’s A Rolling Stone, was what would we find inside? The answer: a list of the best tweets from fashion month, a fashion month report from the frontlines, a series of top ten lists—covering shoes, collections, parties, shoes, bags, jewelry, top models, beauty looks, and street style—a report on the “other” fashion weeks from around the world, a guide to getting the looks of fashion insiders, a report on the street style pack, a spring 2012 trend report, and more.
It is an exhaustive list, yes, but with enough eye candy and interesting details to provide something for everyone. In fact, in our minds, it is the photographs and images that make Style.com so appealing, so it isn’t surprising to see that this translates to the print edition.
Our verdict? If you want your download of spring 2012 in a more tangible form, Style.com/Print is your best bet. According to reports, the magazine will come out on a semi-annual basis, most likely following the spring and fall shows. And that makes the most sense, because this magazine is like a yearbook of the best of the best from each fashion week. Buy your copy here.
