So much so, in fact, that it can be hard to keep up. Luckily, our latest edition of The Hot List is here to help. We have all the details on six major January happenings—from a fab new jewelry collection to the must-try diffusion line. So, read on for all the news on what is happening this month!
Jason Wu for Target
As fashion fans, you know the madness that ensues when Target teams up with a high-end designer, so make sure you are prepared when the Jason Wu for Target collection launches on February 5. After all, not only is the collection rumored to stay true to the feminine and ladylike vibe that Jason Wu is known for, but every piece will be available at a budget-friendly price. Who can say no to that?
Florence & The Machine
As Florence Welch sets out on a world tour with her band, The Machine, we have only one thing on our mind. No, not scoring tickets, but what she will be wearing at each and every date. In our minds, we’re hoping for a wide array of Chanel, Gucci, Pucci, and Alexander McQueen, with some vintage pieces thrown in to shake things up. No matter what she wears, though, we’re sure it will be amazing.
The Golden Globes are less than a week away, the Screen Actors Guild awards will take place a few weeks later, followed shortly by the Grammys and the Oscars. The countdown is on! Given that red carpet stars like Tilda Swinton, Charlize Theron, Michelle Williams, and Kate Winslet have all scored Golden Globe nominations, you can bet that this will be one award season we will remember when it comes to the red carpet.
Dolce & Gabbana Fine Jewelry
Be still our beating hearts! Dolce & Gabbana has just launched a new fine jewelry line inspired by the history of the brand and the roots of the designers. Featuring traditional Christian iconography and superstitious amulets—think cherubs, Virgin Mary medals, and horseshoes, to start—the collection is designed for the true jewelry connoisseur. Key pieces include a pair of medal-embellished chandelier earrings, a charm bracelet, and a pendant necklace. To find out more, head to DolceGabbana.com.
“Karl” by Karl Lagerfeld
In just a few weeks, Karl Lagerfeld’s lower-priced line, Karl, will launch, and we couldn’t be more excited. The collection is set to include over 70 pieces, nearly all of which are slated to be detail-heavy—think rubber patches, plunging zippered necklines, detachable collars, and more. The Karl line will launch exclusively at Net-A-Porter on January 25. Prices are set to start at $50 (for a canvas bag) and run through to around $1,000.
Anselm Reyle for Dior
Dior has teamed up with painter and sculptor Anselm Reyle on an amazing collection of cosmetics and accessories. Our favorite pieces? We love the Artist Palette, a camouflage-print hand-pressed eyeshadow palette with hues of black, grey, purple, and silver. We are also smitten with the four new shades of Dior Vernis nail polish: Metallic Silver, Pink Graffiti, Electric Blue, and Ultra Violet. We also love the… Oh, who are we kidding? We love it all!
