There is so much going on in the world of fashion right now—between fashion week, award season, and the influx of spring fashion issues—that it can be hard to keep up with the fast-moving pace. Happily, our latest installment of The Hot List is here to bring you up to speed on all the major happenings in the fashion world—from what to buy, what trend to explore, what to wear, and more! On that note, here is everything you need to know for March!
Target Designer Collective Collection
Target is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its Go International program by releasing the Designer Collective collection, a 34-piece line of dresses created by 17 past participants of the program—including Rodarte, Zac Posen, and Proenza Schouler, to name just three. The collection arrives on March 13 in major Target stores, as well as online at Target.com. Prices range from $24.99 to $44.99.
When brands like Marc Jacobs and Yves Saint Laurent head in a particular direction, we follow. This spring, that direction happens to be 1970s-era Yves Saint Laurent—think: peasant dresses, breezy blouses, bright colors, and statement jewelry. Happily, this major spring trend is easy to emulate—for inspiration, look for vintage YSL ad campaigns (above) or check out the spring 2011 collections by the aforementioned brands.
