The Hot List

Although award season has come to an end and fashion week is nearly over, the fashion world never stops churning out new trends, new stores, new collections, and new products, which means it is time for our monthly edition of The Hot List, our short and snappy guide to the what’s what and the who’s who of fashion! This month, we have three major collaborations on the mind, not to mention a new fashion reality show, a fresh fashion season, and a must-shop online store. So what are you waiting for? Read on!

Dree Hemingway for Sandro
Dree Hemingway is a favorite on street style blogs thanks in part to her part rocker, part boho-chic style, so when we discovered she had teamed up with French brand Sandro on a capsule collection, we were thrilled. The line takes inspiration from Dree’s childhood in Idaho, and has an easy, breezy aesthetic—much like Dree herself. The line is available now at Sandro’s boutiques. For more information, head to Sandro-Paris.com.

Betsey Johnson for OPI
What do you get when you mix Betsey Johnson’s outlandish aesthetic with OPI’s expertise? The nail polish collection to end all! The seven-piece line features a mix of bold colors, classic hues, and fun metallics—our favorites include Alley Cat, a deep purple tone, and Cartwheels on the Catwalk, an on-trend seafoam green tone. The full collection is available now at Sephora stores, as well as online at Sephora.com. Each color retails for $9.50.

Spring Fashion
While we love each season equally, there is something really fun about spring when it comes to fashion. Perhaps it is the appeal of fresh collections arriving in stores, perhaps it is the fact that we can finally trade our winter coats for sun dresses and our boots for sandals, or perhaps it is the fact that runway items can finally be part of our reality. Either way, can you tell we’re excited?

Fashion Star
On March 13, Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson, celebrated designer John Varvatos, and new-ish designers Nicole Richie and Jessica Simpson will come together for Fashion Star, a brand new fashion reality competition on NBC that pits up-and-coming designers against each other. But the most interesting part of Fashion Star is that everything you see on the show can be bought the very next day. Color us intrigued. Fashion Star will premiere on March 13 at 9.30/8.30c.

Maje
While there are many, many French brands to love right now, we are absolutely smitten with Maje, the contemporary label founded and designer by Judith Milgrom. Maje is not exactly new on the scene, but the reason we are so obsessed right now is that Maje has just launched a brand new e-commerce site for American customers. Now you can grab every printed mini dress and fringed bootie the minute they arrive in store at Maje.com. What’s not to love?

Marni for H&M
In just a few short days—on March 8, to be precise—the highly-anticipated Marni for H&M collection will arrive in stores, and we could not be more excited! The line features all the signature touches that Marni has become known for: pretty prints, fun colors, and feminine silhouettes. The Marni for H&M collection will arrive at select H&M stores on March 8. If you want to get in on this collection, we recommend lining up early.
