The Hot List: September 2013


September officially marks the end of summer and the beginning of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. What may have seemed like an eternity of waiting, you will soon be able to feast your eyes on next summer’s upcoming trends and collections. New comebacks and collaborations are also heading your way in forms of home décor, The Beatles, and even a Carine Roitfeld documentary. Read through our September Hot List to get the scoop:

Fashion Week:

Kicking off on September 5th in New York City, you’ll be able to get your daily dose of up and coming designers, trends, and looks for Spring/Summer 2014. Be sure to visit for instant runway updates and streetstyle shots from around the globe.

Sam Edelman Jewelry:

Celebrated shoe designer Sam Edelman will be releasing his first ever jewelry collection this month. Although you’ll have to wait until February for the launch of their clothing line, you can already snag some chic and affordable rock and roll inspired jewelry. See the full collection here:

Mademoiselle C:

Carine Roitfeld, owner of CR Fashion Magazine, is one of the most influential women in the fashion industry. Roitfeld has pushed the envelope throughout her career while changing the way we look at fashion and style, while providing her fair share of controversy. In a new documentary titled Mademoiselle C, you’ll find behind the scenes footage of the life of Roitfeld, including cameos by designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, and Tom Ford. Matthew Williamson X Osborne & Little:

Although it may be hard to afford a wardrobe filled with Matthew Williamson’s designs, you’ll soon be able to change up your space with his new wallpaper and fabric range for Osborne & Little. Using his same eye for exquisite detail and unique prints, Williamson has released a new and affordable way for you to incorporate his designs into your home. Lily Allen’s Comeback:

Lily Allen has retired from music since 2010. It’s safe to say we have missed her quirky videos, catchy songs, and most importantly her killer Chanel wardrobe. We wonder what outrageous hair color and behind the scenes footage is to come. Here is the official list of what were hoping to see.

Beatlemania At Bloomingdales:

Bloomingdales is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles by bringing together some of the most important British designers to date. Brands such as Burberry, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, and Paul Smith will take part in the tribute to the band. Designers Sir Paul Smith and Burberry’s chief creative officer Christopher Bailey will also be part of an interview series called Talk is Chic, which will discuss British culture, music and fashion.
