If these words by Alber Elbaz—”I don’t think you’re getting an expensive H&M [piece], you’re getting a bargain of Lanvin”—make you tremble with sheer excitement, then come Saturday, you need to polish off your credit card and get yourself to an H&M pronto, because right now, the entire fashion world is crazy for Lanvin for H&M. In the meantime, though, check out the latest thrill: Last night in New York, Lanvin and H&M presented an haute couture runway show that was attended by the likes of Sofia Coppola, Emma Roberts, lee Sobieski, Anna Sui, Tory Burch and Alexander Wang, just to name a few. There were plenty of stars on the runway, too. The haute couture creations, which were customized pieces from the Lanvin for H&M collection, made their way down the catwalk with the help of such eminent faces as Asia Chow, Pixie Geldof, Dree Hemingway, Olga and Anna Dello Russo.
The looks from the haute couture collection are available now at LanvinForHM.com, with all proceeds going to charity. The Lanvin for H&M collection will be available in around 200 H&M stores worldwide. It launches on November 20 in the US and Canada and November 23 throughout the rest of the world.
