Top Buys: Fall 2011 Boot Guide, Pt 2

While most of us would be happy to shop for new boots all year round, there really is no better time of year than the fall season. After all, the stores are overflowing with fabulous new options, cold weather has kicked in, and last year’s boots probably don’t look as indispensable as they once did. On that note, we would like to welcome you to part two of our Fall 2011 Boot Guide! We have picked out eight amazing pairs of boots, and we are just positive that among them you will find something you just have to have. So, read on for all the must-know details and don’t forget to let us know which pair you love the most!

As modern girls-on-the-go, you most likely have an action-packed calendar—especially as the holiday season draws near—which means, in turn, you need different options for every occasion. So, let’s get started. If your diary includes a shopping spree with your best girlfriends, we suggest you pick up a pair of riding boots. Not only are they stylish and sophisticated, but they go with everything from jeans to floaty dresses, making them more investment, less impulse buy! If you want a pair in classic leather, we suggest you check out Zara’s Fashion Heel Boots ($169). They have a 70s-inspired vibe, but they are oh-so modern. On the other hand, if suede is your fabric of choice, we like KG By Kurt Geiger’s Vivienne Suede Over-Knee Boots ($287.52). They will add a sexy twist to any ensemble and they have a chic, boho vibe. Now, if your planner is full of uninteresting errands, why not spice up your day with a pair of boots that are as sensible as they are stylish? A pair of Isabel Marant’s Cuba Boots ($725) will give your ensemble a rock ‘n’ roll twist, but they will also save your feet from plenty of pain if you need to spend the day running around town. Of course, some of you won’t leave the house without at least a 3″ heel! Sound familiar? If so, make sure you check out Rag & Bone’s Classic Newbury Boots ($495). They will add plenty of length to the leg, and the chunky heel and padded footbed will give you a little extra comfort.

If you are the multitasking type and you need a boot that takes you from morning all the way through night, we suggest you pick up a pair of ankle boots with a little extra support; a wedge heel or a chunky heel both work well. Our favorites this fall? We love Pour La Victoire’s Lang Lace-Up Booties ($185). The forest green fabric gives these boots a surprising but stylish twist, plus they easily transition from a day out with friends to a night on the town. We also love Chloé’s Leather Ankle Boots ($675). These have such a clean and classic aesthetic that they will go with just about everything in your closet—from skinny jeans to bandage dresses. Last, but not least, we have a few options for those of you whose calendar is jam-packed with holiday parties. Firstly, we love B Brian Atwood’s Tempesta Suede Platform Booties ($450). The ultra-high heel is super flattering, the fringe detail around the ankle makes these boots stand out, and they come in two different colors: taupe and black. Really, who can resist? Then again, we are equally smitten with Mango’s Leather Ankle Boots ($139.90). They have a rocker-chic vibe, but more importantly, they will look amazing when paired with your best little black dress. Happy shopping!
