Top Buys: Resort Report

No matter where you are in the world right now, there is one thing we can all agree on when winter rolls around: a tropical getaway would be amazing. Happily, even if you do not have tickets for an exotic destination at the moment, you can partake in a little daydreaming thanks to the resort collections, which have just arrived in stores, and today’s Top Buys: Resort Report story. Yes, we have picked out the eight items we would be packing if a set of plane tickets and a suitcase were to magically appear—and we would like to invite you on this shopping journey with us! Naturally, we would start with a bikini and a cute cover-up for the beach or for lounging by the pool. Ideally, our cover-up should be able to quickly convert into a mini dress for those occasions when you want to head straight from the pool to the poolside restaurant. With that in mind, a pair of chic sandals is also a necessity, as is a pair of oversized sunglasses and a beach bag to stow everything away in. On days where you want to do something more—whether that means exploring the sites, people watching at a café, or doing some shopping at the local market—we typically look for clothes that are casual and comfortable, but also fashion-forward. Luckily, we found a textured top and a pair of cotton shorts that will do the trick. Speaking of tricks, one way to ensure you make the most of the limited room in your suitcase is to stick to a single color family. We’re thinking greens, blues, and purples this resort season. Happy shopping!
