Under $100: Fall Trends

If you are anything like us here at Mama’s A Rolling Stone, your fall wishlist probably runneth over with fabulous finds, while your budget runneth under. Sound familiar? Well, dear readers, consider this a problem no more! Thanks to today’s Under $100 story, you can tick off some must-try looks from your list because we have rounded up eight fabulous on-trend pieces—and we are pleased to report that they are all priced at $100 or under! Whether you are looking for a gorgeous Gucci-inspired gown, a fetish-inspired mini dress, or a cozy cape, we suggest you hesitate no longer. Click inside to discover our favorite budget-friendly finds!

As you delve into our top buys, there are a few key things that we suggest you keep in mind. Firstly, remember that party season is almost here! On that note, we suggest you check out the Seeing Stripes Dress ($68) at Nasty Gal. Not only does it have a figure-flattering silhouette, but it also instantly evokes the fetish-inspired pieces seen at Louis Vuitton and Mugler. Of course, if fetish doesn’t strike your fancy, you could always take notes from the Gucci show and pick up a jewel-toned gown like Topshop’s Split Neck Maxi Dress ($100). When paired with a similarly-colored faux fur coat, you are sure to stand out from the crowd at any party you attend. Of course, if you already have a dress on hand, but you need a fab accessory to match, make sure you check out Mango’s Touch Asymmetric Flap Messenger Bag ($64.90). Not only are colorful python-print accessories having a major moment right now, but this chic bag can be worn two ways, making it a party-season must!

The second thing you should have on your mind is, naturally, the weather! Luckily, one of the key trends on the fall runways—capes—also happened to be one of the coziest. If you want to start out small, make sure you check out Forever 21’s Classic Cape Coat ($37.80). The camel-colored hue gives it a timeless twist and ensures that it will look just as chic with jeans as it will with tailored trousers. On the other hand, if you want to kill two trends with one stone, make sure you check out Vero Moda’s Navajo-Pattern Blanket Cape ($98.84). Not only will the oversized cape silhouette keep you super-warm, but the Southwest-inspired print will instantly evoke the must-try pieces seen at Isabel Marant and Proenza Schouler.

Lastly, it is always important to stock up on stylish separates, especially in the colder months when layering is a necessity. To start, we suggest you check out Free People’s Marled Yarn Pullover ($88). Chunky knit sweaters are always in style, which means that with a piece like this, you will be investing in your future, not just this season. We also suggest you take a look at Free People’s Skinny Corduroy Pants ($68). The mustard-colored corduroy gives these pants a 70s-inspired feel, but the skinny silhouette makes them oh-so now! Finally, if you are looking to invest in a great pair of heels this season, make it a heeled loafer! We like River Island’s Color Block Platform Loafers ($86.26). Not only were heeled loafers spotted at almost every major fall show, but they have a preppy twist that is spot-on for fall. Happy shopping!
