Under $60: Summer Skirts

Here at Mama’s A Rolling Stone, we adore the easygoing vibe that summer brings, and accordingly, we tend to stock up on easy, breezy skirts. Inevitably, however, we find our budget clashes with our shopping list, which brings us to today’s story! Yes, dear readers, we have scouted out a cornucopia of summer skirts and we’re pleased to report that they are all under $60! So, whether you are currently coveting a bold bandage skirt, a tribal-inspired mini, or something in classic black, read on as we’re just positive that today’s Under $60 story will have a skirt that suits your style and budget!

Now, as a modern girl-on-the-go, there are probably many facets to your life and each one most likely requires a different set of rules. After all, the ensembles you wear to a business meeting are most likely not the same pieces you put together for a night out with the girls. On that note, make sure you consider every aspect of your life while you examine these budget-friendly skirts—after all, you want to make sure you have the perfect piece for every occasion. For instance, if you have a big family gathering planned this summer, you should definitely check out the Delaney Eyelet Skirt ($49.99) at J Crew—it has a preppy vibe but is decidedly feminine. We also suggest you check out Madewell’s Arabesque Skirt ($49.99) and ASOS’s Tailored Pleat Front Ponti Fit & Flare Skirt (from $36.20). While both these skirts would be suitable at a family gathering, they are equally appropriate for casual office events. We would pair ours with a chic button-down in summer and then swap out our button-down for a cashmere sweater in fall.

Of course, we also have some options for the social side of your calendar! For example, if you have a Girls Night Out planned, you simply can’t overlook Topshop’s Jade Panel Bodycon Skirt ($44)! When paired with a slouchy black tee and a pair of killer platform pumps, you are sure to turn heads. If your summer schedule includes a fashion industry event, the Hector Skirt ($60) by All Saints is your best bet. When paired with a black blazer and a pair of heels, you’ll look chic and fashion-forward. For a summer concert or music festival, Forever 21’s Ikat Skirt ($17.80) checks all the right boxes. Unfussy silhouette? Check! Bright dose of color? Check! Hippie-inspired print? Check! Finally, if you are planning a road trip or a summer vacation, we love Free People’s Pleated Mini Skirt ($39.95) and Victoria’s Secret’s Pleated Miniskirt ($28.99). Both skirts can be worn to the beach, at a hotel bar, to a restaurant, or even while sightseeing. You can’t say no to versatility! On that note, happy (guilt-free) shopping!
