We Love: Dame

Last week we received an email from a reader who thought we should check out Dame, a San Francisco-based body jewelry brand. From their gorgeous full-arm bracelets to hippie-inspired headpieces, we instantly fell in love.

Dame is another great example of a burgeoning brand started by someone with no background in the business. Nazy Wadia founded Dame when she realized she would be better off just creating the things she liked, rather than going on an endless hunt. Her Middle Eastern heritage didn’t hurt; she was inspired to start Dame after finding old photographs of her mother and aunt wearing some amazing, over-the-top jewelry.

Dame has divided their luxe jewelry into three main categories: body adornments, hair adornments and shrugs. The body adornments include full-arm bracelets, chainmail vests and draped chain corsets. The hair adornments category features headpieces similar to those seen on Sienna Miller and Nicole Richie. Finally, the shrugs are shoulder-pieces that feature chains draped over one shoulder.

Each piece is designed and created by Nazy herself and, because of that, the prices are very reasonable, ranging from $89 to $289. Check out the site and let us know if you love Dame too!
