In the 1960s, German model/actress Veruschka was a modeling sensation. These days, she appears on the catwalks on special occasions only. One such occasion—the Giles Spring 2011 show, which she walked at London Fashion Week—didn’t impress her, apparently, as told to The Daily Mail.
“I didn’t like the makeup in the show, and didn’t think much of the dress. Now we are using the old ones, make them look great and show their power as well as their age.”
She is equally unimpressed with overly high heels:
“In the 1960s, fashion was about liberation. It was about setting women free; it wasn’t about being unable to walk.”
Not to mention plastic surgery and Botox:
“I know that there are many things I could do, but I’m not interested. It’s more important to be loving and to have a lively mind.”
